Chairman: Mark Purdy

Mark first got involved with the Rooftop Rodeo fifteen years ago when his children joined its Royalty Program. After six years in that program, his daughter Kellsie would go on to become Miss Rodeo Colorado 2011; because of her positive experience in the program and the support she received from both the Rooftop and the Town of Estes Park, Mark joined the team to help ensure that the Rooftop's Royalty Program would remain among the best in Colorado. As an original incorporator of Estes Park Western Heritage, Inc., he has leveraged his background in financial, compliancy and business process application software to help develop best practices during the early stages of the organization. He has served as both Treasurer and Vice President. His wife Michelle and daughter Kellsie are also members of Estes Park Western Heritage Inc. and together, as a family, they enjoy helping to preserve the western way of life.

Director: Jo Adams

Jo was born and raised in Estes Park and has lived most of her life in Glen Haven and Estes Park. Involvement in Rooftop Rodeo started at age 14 with the Ribbon girl program continuing on through representing the Rooftop Rodeo as Queen in 1965. After living in Alaska for 19 years she returned to Estes Park and joined the Rooftop Rodeo Committee in 1991. She has chaired or worked on various committees and was President three terms. Keeping the tradition and spirit of the Rooftop Rodeo for many generations to come and a love of the sport are the driving force behind this longtime member.

Director: David Dean

David is Chairman and CEO of Miller International, Inc. Before joining what is now Miller International, Dean served as Director of Taxation for RMC USA, Inc., a multi-billion dollar supplier of building materials. Prior to joining RMC, he was a private consultant and assisted in structuring the recapitalization of Rocky Mountain Clothing Co, eventually becoming their CFO. In addition to Denver-based investment banking experience, David served in leadership roles for accounting firms Ernst & Young, Deloitte & Touche, Price Waterhouse, and JD Ford and Company. Miller International owns several brands including Cinch, Cruel Girl, Southern Thread, Miller Ranch, and Rod Patrick Boots.

Director: Rick Life

While attending the University of Northern Colorado, Rick Life spent summers working in Estes Park at Cheley Colorado Camps where he learned horsemanship. His wife to be, Sandee, roped him into being a “Wrangler” (volunteer) for the Greeley Independence Stampede. Later, after moving to Estes he founded the Estes Park Marathon and served as the race director. His daughter Lexie joined the Rooftop Rodeo (RTR) royalty program so he and his wife Sandee joined the RTR Committee. He served as vice president of the RTR before becoming a founding member of Estes Park Western Heritage, Inc. (EPWH). He enjoys sharing the sport of rodeo with fans as a guide for the EPWH Behind the Chutes Tours. Rick is a sergeant with the Estes Park Police Dept.

Director: Steve Wilson

Steve Wilson has been a Rooftop Rodeo (RTR) Committee member since 2000. His involvement includes every aspect of the RTR. He has served as VP for two terms and was Arena Director for many years as well. Steve has been a business owner in Estes Park for the last 35 years, including being owner/operator of the YMCA of the Rockies Livery at Estes Park Center and Snow Mountain Ranch for 25 years, 20 of those years he served as president of the Estes Park Liverymen's Association. He participated and competed in rodeo sports events, horse shows, and draft horse competitions. His goal is to keep the traditions of the western atmosphere in Estes Park alive and well and help develop the future successes and progressive growth of Estes Park Western Heritage, Inc. Steve and Evelyn, his wife of 30 years, have two children, ages 26 & 24, who were born and raised in Estes Park.

Director: Greg Dieker

Greg has been involved in the rodeo world in some fashion since he first rode a horse at age seven. To date he has amassed 45 years as a competitor and another 20 in production of collegiate, amateur and professional rodeos. Before joining the RTR in late 2014 Greg had spent 16 years with the Elizabeth Stampede Rodeo in Elizabeth, Colorado where he was the Rodeo Committee Chairman for 9 years and led them to three straight PRCA Small Rodeo of the Year awards in 2011, 2012 & 2013. Greg has known many on the RTR committee for years and is looking forward to being part of the fun. He brings a unique perspective to the table having been a producer, contestant and committee person. He is very excited about helping RTR grow and keeping the western traditions and legacy that Estes Park has been famous for for over 100 years alive. His background includes 28 years in corporate America and six years in law enforcement. Currently Greg is the Principal partner in Western Retirement Options.

DIRECTOR: LIZ TATE

Liz has been a Colorado resident for 9 year, moving up to watch her son play football for Colorado State University. She has 2 daughters, 2 son in laws and 3 grandchildren in Texas, who she is happy to say that her granddaughter wants to be a Cowgirl, when she grows up! Liz became a member of RTR to stay in touch with horses and people who love horses. She lives in the mountains with her 2 horses, 2 dogs and a silly bird, moving from Central Texas. In Texas Liz had a boarding, training and lesson facility, which she managed and taught many young and old riders. Two of Liz's students went on to becoming the local Rodeo Queen in Texas. Liz also started and trained many horses for her clients. She has been the RTR Parade Chairman for 4 years, serves on the Royalty Committee and has helped out in the Hospitality Tent and now is serving as a Board Member.

BOARD SECRETARY: JESSICALYNN POTTS

The first rodeo JessicaLynn attended was The Rooftop Rodeo in 2015 when her boyfriend, John Pettibon, had been recruited to work with the chutes crew. She fell in love with the committee and set out to become a volunteer. She was honored to receive the Rookie of the Year award for 2016, and has since been learning as much as she can about the wonderful sport of rodeo. She has a passion for making people smile and meeting new people. She is a sixth generation Coloradoan, and plans on staying and raising her family at the base of the Rocky Mountains. She looks forward to many more wonderful years with The Rooftop Rodeo.

President: Ben Vigil

Ben joined the Rooftop Rodeo Committee in 2002. Prior to becoming President he was the Rodeo General Chairman, and consequently oversaw all rodeo related activities; before that, he was a member of the chutes crew and eventually the Chutes Director. He has also served as the Chairman for the Queens Dance. Ben served four years in the United States Marine Corps and has had careers in Cable TV as a technician and with Longmont, CO Light & Power as a Ground man. Ben and his wife Amy currently own and operate Vigil Painting & Design. Ben and Amy live in Estes Park CO. They have three daughters and three grandchildren.

TOWN TRUSTEE: CODY WALKER

Cody Rex Walker is a Colorado native and descendant of Colorado homesteaders who caught wild horses for the cavalry and every generation since had managed to make their living with horses. He is a graduate of Colorado State University and a successful, long-time businessman here Larimer County. Cody currently serves as the President of the Board of Education for the Estes Park School District and as an elected Trustee for the town of Estes Park. He considers supporting the Rooftop rodeo a privilege and continues to let the committee know the rodeo has a friend downtown.
