Check the Schedule page and other locations in this website for more information on all these events.I thought I would let you take a look at this picture which I believe says a lot about Estes Park as a beautiful mountain community and a true rodeo town.
![]() Folks, if you missed our 2008 Rooftop Rodeo you missed one heck of a great show. This was established as fact when, at Las Vegas on December 3rd the presented a contingent from the Town of Estes Park with the coveted first place buckle. Bo Winslow, the Estes Park Special Events and Fairgrounds Manager, received the award and had these words to say to the group of several thousand awards dinner attendees: “I want to thank the Rooftop Rodeo Committee for its 365-day-a-year commitment to the event; the Town of Estes Park for its ongoing support; all of the local sponsors that are a huge part of our success; stock contractors Hank and Lori Franzen of Powder River Rodeo Productions and D and H Cattle; announcer Chad Nicholson; Dodge Rodeo; U.S. Smokeless Tobacco for providing its video scoreboard; the rodeo contestants; and all of the rodeo’s many fans. "We are one big family and it took everyone giving 100 percent to make it all happen.” Estes Park has a 100 year tradition of putting on one of the best rodeos in America. In fact in 2003, and 2006, we were also designated as the best small rodeo in America. If you came to the Rooftop either as a contestant or as a spectator we really appreciate your being a part of our show and we look forward to seeing you in 2009. The 2009 Rooftop Rodeo (RTR) will be kicked off with a colorful parade at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2009 in downtown Estes Park. There will be six exciting PRCA Rodeo performances at 7:30 p.m. each evening, beginning Tuesday, July 7th and continuing through Sunday, July 12, 2009 at The Fairgrounds at Stanley Park in Estes Park, Colorado. Check the schedule for times for rodeo, parade, dance, and ticket prices! Saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, tie down roping, bareback bronc riding, dally team roping, barrel racing and bull riding are the PRCA sanctioned events that will entertain and astonish each evening's audience. In addition, people will not want to miss the antics of this year's rodeo clown. Join us for the highest and most scenic rodeo in America! If it is July and if it is rodeo then you just have to be at the Rooftop in Estes Park-See you partner. “Keep the wind to your back and a smile on your face.” Howell Wright, President, Rooftop Rodeo Committee
