Queen Halley Moak
Howdy and Hello! My name is Halley Moak, and It is a privilege and an honor to be able to represent the Rooftop Rodeo as your 2023 Rooftop Rodeo Queen! From my first pony ride at twelve months of age to competitive riding the past five years on the Colorado Hunter Jumper Association circuit, horses have been an integral part of my daily life. You could say that I live and breathe everything equestrian! Over the years, my interaction with horses has taught me about humility, patience, and how sacrifice should be valued. It is so humbling to train with an animal who allows me to be taught while it is being trained. My equine interests have continued as I attend Midway University in the Lexington, Kentucky area where I am able to study and double major in Equine Rehabilitation and Equine Management while riding on the varsity hunt seat team for the Midway Eagles. I have attended the Rooftop Rodeo for 19 years and have grown up in their royalty program. Through my involvement, I have gotten to familiarize myself with the people and the animals that make rodeo the popular sport it is today. I am profoundly grateful to have learned so much about the fabulous sport of rodeo! My hope is to spread the thrill of rodeo to others, and to lend support to our fantastic Rooftop Rodeo Committee in promoting the Rodeo with Altitude! With the help of my ever faithful Quarter Horse paint, Denver, at my side, I am thrilled to be able to live out my childhood dream of sharing my love for both horses and rodeo! Job 39:19-25 For one to fly, one needs only to take the reins! Gratefully, Halley Moak |
Attendant Névé Cooper
Hello, my name is Névé Cooper and I am honored to be your 2023 Rooftop Rodeo Attendant. I'm 16 years old and from Allenspark, Colorado. I am currently a junior at Estes Park highschool where I enjoy being a part of the band and choir. I have played the trumpet since I was in 5th grade and now have the honor of being section leader for the trumpet section. Singing in the choir has also been something I have enjoyed since middle school. It has helped me gain confidence and shape me into the person that I am today. I have always had a passion for horses. I got my horse Starlight 7 years ago after begging my parents to get one. Starlight has helped shape me both as a person and a rider. She was there for my first canter, my first fall, and my first rodeo. We make a great team and I couldn’t ask for a better horse to share this title. As attendant, I hope to spread positivity to those I meet and show that you can do anything you set your mind to. I hope I can inspire people to never let a disability stop or define you. Horses have helped me so much with accepting and overcoming my disablity. When I ride Starlight and feel the wind in my hair all I can think about is how free I feel. Who cares if you’re disabled or not, you are who you are, and you were put on this planet for a reason. I am so excited and grateful to represent the western way of life and the Town of Estes Park as the 2023 Rooftop Rodeo Attendant. Gratefully your, Névé Cooper |
